2010 Shellfishing Licenses Now Available

The Kingston Shellfish season opens for 2010 on April 5th. This is the eighth full year of shellfishing in Kingston waters. Shellfishing is allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, between the hours of sunrise and sunset.

To see if the beds are open on a given day, you may call the recorded message at (781) 585-0519 (the Harbormaster's Office), or www.kingstonmass.org on the homepage under the "Shellfishing" link.

Shellfish licenses may be obtained at the Selectmen's Office, Town Hall, 26 Evergreen St., Kingston from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday.  You must present your driver’s license or picture ID in order to obtain a Shellfish License.

The fees for the 2010 season are:

•  Resident:  $40.00
•  Resident Senior (62 or older):  15.00
•  Resident Senior (70 or older):  FREE  (must have license)
•  Non-Residents $100.00 which includes a parking permit conditional for Grays Beach.

The season ends October 31, 2010.
