Upon adoption of the updated Plan in 1998 the Planning Board created the Master Plan Implementation Committee (MPIC) to implement the recommendations of the Plan.
The Kingston Planning Board reviews and approves site plans and subdivisions and acts as the Special Permit Granting Authority for particular uses in the Town of Kingston Zoning Bylaws.
The Planning Board comprises five elected members each serving five-year terms and one appointed alternate member who serves a three-year term.
The Planning Board meetings are held the second and fourth Mondays at the Kingston Town House - Room 200 and begin at 7:00 p.m. Appointments before the Planning Board are made through the Planning Office.
The Planning Office staffs the Planning Board and the MPIC and assists the Zoning Board of Appeals, Economic Development Commission and the Historic Commission.
