Sewer Service Connection Location Form After construction crews place the main sewer lines in the road, service connections are installed. The construction crews need to know where you want your sewer connection. Most often this is determined by where your existing septic tank is and what hardscape features in your yard you want to avoid digging up. Use this form to indicate where you want your sewer service connection. An example is provided on page 2. You may want to consult with a drain layer if you need help.
Drain Layer List You will need to hire a drain layer to connect your home to the town sewer system. This list provides the names of drain layers who are currently licensed by the Board of Sewer Commissioners. You may wish to contact several drain layers to obtain estimates.
Sewer Connection Application for Residential and Commercial Buildings After you have hired a drain layer, you should submit an application to connect. This form includes a place for you and the drain layer to sign. The Board of Sewer Commissioners will review the application and sign the form also. This must be done before the drain layer can begin working. There is no application fee at this time. The Sewer Connection will be inspected and a Certificate of Compliance is signed by the Inspector and the drain layer. This is kept on file at our office. Questions?
